Some Cuban Politicians are simply embarrassing.
It’s simply embarrassing that some Cuban American politicians and their political action committees have equally destroyed relationships with Cuba. Castro’s government is a failure and ours (or actually said) the Miami politicians who’ve high-jacked Cuba policy are also a failure.
I’m a Cuban exile; I have family in Cuba, Miami, Union City, NJ and Los Angeles, CA. I’ve toured the United States with a film I made in Cuba. The same film played for ten weeks in Miami Theatres. I personally gave my Cuba film to Obama in Los Angeles, CA and I personally met at Obama’s Senate office in Washington, DC and left 15 copies of the film with a staffer. This is important because once anyone actually sees the real Cuba and the real people of Cuba in this film; (not what Castro or Miami Politician present), it’s clear it’s time to abolish the embargo.
If the Miami politicians really wanted to make a difference in Cuba, they would abolish the embargo today, and invade Cuba with tourism by Americans of all nationalities. That invasion of people representing freedom will be more effective than the past 47 years of selfishness and destroying family relationships to get back of Castro.
I challenge, (and they will never accept) any Miami politician to publically discuss their embargo policy. They won’t, they simply trade, sell and buy votes in congress for their politically insanity.
Much more could be said, and I thank God Obama is a man who at least listened, learned and acted in a new direction with Cuba.
The irony is, once the embargo is abolished and freedom invades Cuba. It’s predictable the Miami politicians and their lobbies will say; “See our 47 year old failed plan worked.” These people are simply insane.
